Set up Windows 11 on a laptop.
I built a Windows 11 media tool on my main PC (Professional edition) to format my laptop. It runs on a machine with a built-in key that automatically chooses Home setup, but during the final steps it doesn’t ask for a Microsoft account—something I believe is mandatory for the Home version. Additionally, it blocks network name configuration even though the laptop stays online during installation. The internet connection is necessary at some point. What might be happening?
I think this is a bug with Windows 11, I had 3 of the exact same laptop, and one didn't connect to the internet nor need an account, while the other 2 did. It doesn't really matter thought, you don't need a microsoft account to set up windows 11. If you want logged in features you can login once you've completed the installation.
