Set up the AIO for your GPU now, but I’m having trouble getting the system to respond.
Hello, I set up an Icewolf 2 AIO with my RTX 3090. Once installed, I powered it up to confirm everything received power. After finishing the case and reconnecting everything, it started working properly. I tested B4B functions and then performed a load test. After cleaning up the installation area, my screen went black but fans and lights remained active. I restarted it, suspecting a possible BSOD or hardware issue. I noticed the power button and peripherals stayed on even after switching the PSU. Could this be related? Here are my specs: motherboard X570 Aorus Elite, GPU RTX 3090, Ryzen 5950X, PSU 1200W.
Couldn't locate any quick fixes. Tested GPU on another machine functions properly; switched to another GPU in this setup also works. Attempted to log into Windows, then power cycling the system but it doesn't behave like before. Now using a different GPU reproduces the same issue. What's happening? If a component failed, it stops working immediately after switching. PS: I cleared the CMOS before changing GPUs on the 3090 but it didn't resolve the problem.
I realized I needed help so I contacted a local PC repair shop. They fixed it by resetting the BIOS, which allowed me to debug the system. Apparently, changing or attaching a pump to the sys_fan header caused issues with the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite. I only plugged in a few fans and a pump, but it still didn’t work. Thanks for your time! Have a great day.
