I’m trying to set up and run the old horror title “Mysteriet på Greveholm” on Windows 10. It’s an older CD-ROM game that’s now available as an ISO file. There’s a YouTube video with a download link in its description, and here’s a direct download URL: https://archive.org/download/mystery-at-...lm/Mystery at Greveholm%2C The (1997)(Young Genius)(M10)[Mac-PC].iso. I’m asking how to install and play it on Windows 10 and would really value any guidance you can provide. This game holds special memories from my youth. Updated July 30, 2020 by LogicalDrm

The old well might allow you to burn the .iso file into a CD and execute the program using comp mode.

Use WineCDEmu or DOSBox to access the ISO file. If the application is sufficiently recent, you might require DOSBox to function properly. Both tools are free and open-source. Updated July 29, 2020 by Nayr438

Moved to PC Gaming *** Requires a DOS emulator or virtual machine with a DOS operating system. Windows 10 supports games from the XP era only with compatibility solutions. Unless the game files have been modified, consider checking GOG.com.

Because of this excellent, clear, and useful video, I was successful in getting it to function. It was simple and required just 20 minutes.

I saved the file as an ISO onto a USB drive instead of burning it to a CD.

It's a DOS game, so you must use the DOS box, but it looks like you've already made changes to it

The answer came from combining USB storage, DOSBox, and a Windows 3.1 file.

I've played this game on VirtualBox and MS DOST using version 3.1 on various machines, but each time I encounter the message "An error has occurred (H1) Please reinstall the game from the cd." What causes this issue?
