It’s not advisable to run Windows 10, apply updates, and then wipe the profile before selling a computer. Such actions can void warranties, damage data, and complicate the resale process. Consider alternative options like data backup or purchasing a new device. Let me know if you need further guidance!

It matches the description you provided. If you use an outdated Windows version, you should update and then wipe the user profile along with all associated data. From your initial message, that’s what I expected, though I might be wrong. I store a USB drive with Windows for backup purposes, but it was created several months ago, so it isn’t the latest release. Whenever I install Windows on a PC for resale, I refresh everything and then reinstall the operating system.

They offer an audit feature here. No profile creation required. Just install straight away; during setup, press Ctrl + Shift + F3 to switch to an admin desktop. You can then add programs, updates, or drives as needed, reboot or shut down using the system prompt it provides, and you’ll return to the setup screen.
