The Raspberry Pi needs a Wi-Fi link (Windows on both devices) after connecting through Ethernet. On the Pi, tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower-right corner or navigate to settings → networks. Under status, choose "change adapter options." A window will open showing your detected network; if connected via Ethernet, it should list it and display the Wi-Fi name. Right-click the network and select "properties." A menu appears with sharing options—pick "sharing," then click the upper box to allow others to connect. The other machine will now link to the internet through Ethernet.

Yes, there should be a Windows installation on both systems. The main system and the one you're trying to configure as the access point need to have Windows set up.

Yes, I can try to adapt the instructions for Linux. However, I’m not familiar with the steps involved.

You notice the Pi isn't compatible with regular Windows. You'll need to create a connection in Linux using the terminal. This approach won't function otherwise.

You might do it because it helps achieve a better outcome or addresses an underlying issue.

It seems there are more effective options available for Windows 10.
