I'm working on setting up a Minecraft server with a Dell PowerEdge R610 running Windows 10. I can access it locally, but others can't connect even after forwarding port 25565. Several users have tried it and still face issues. Since it's hosted on an AT&T business network, there might be additional constraints. I'm using a Nighthawk X6S as the router. I've tested it with a residential Comcast connection where others succeeded.

The router and modem require port forwarding as well, not just the device you're using.

You meant the modem and router also require port forwarding for the connection. I went into the router and set up the server on port 25565.

Yes, everything is set at 25565 for both incoming and outgoing traffic. If the IP addresses are accurate, it should function properly.

The inbound and outbound values are both 25565. You configured the IP address in Windows, which should resolve correctly, but it isn’t functioning as expected.

Are you asking about a single router/modem unit or if you need two distinct devices? Your setup seems to have only one Ethernet port on your computer.

They function independently. I possess four gigabit connections on the motherboard, four gigabit ports on an Intel network card, and a separate one for the IDRA. One is active on the motherboard, another on the IDRA.

Yes, you can connect the computer directly to the modem using a single port. The multiple ports on the computer might cause confusion if you're not sure which one is connected to the router or modem.

It's feasible to connect the computer directly to the modem, but this bypasses the router's port forwarding. You're only using one of the computer's ports besides the Idrac, and you're confident you didn't confuse the Idrac with the server.

Ensure every device in the lineup is set up for forwarding. Missing a modem's forwarding could explain the issue.
