Set up Arch Linux by following the official documentation and installing the necessary packages.
Hello, switching to Arch Linux seems possible on a VM but not on your main PC. You managed to use Rufus without problems and booted from USB, though during installation it freezes at "Rebuild Journal install," hinting at a BIOS issue. Your system specs are a Ryzen 3600x with AMD 5700 MSI B450M-A Max Pro.
Arch is ready for installation. Are you using instructions or proceeding without guidance?
Despite following the instructions, the system doesn’t boot from the live USB. It freezes during loading because of the message I mentioned before. Since it works in a VM but not on the main computer, the problem likely lies in the BIOS settings rather than the ISO itself.
Choose the USB device, pick the ISO using the selection button, and then just press start. You should be fine.
It was resolved using etcher, but a bios update was needed afterward. Virtualization was enabled later, causing another problem. The system freezes when creating volatile files and directories. I assumed the issue stemmed from repeated data written to USB due to many attempts, so I reflashed it, but the same problem persisted. It’s really frustrating.
