hello, i have an Ubiquiti edge router and wanted to forward a Minecraft server, but everything failed despite trying different ports and watching tutorials. I managed it on my local LAN, but others from another network couldn't connect. i’ll share the config screenshot and how I set up the port forward rule.

Are there any devices ahead of the edge router? A dedicated ISP router is required, and it must have port forwarding enabled.

Use the default port 25565 for TCP/UDP. Leave the server IP blank so connections happen through your public IPv4 address. Avoid sharing your IP with strangers as it reveals your general location.

Well, that's not the main issue—I'm having trouble opening any port. I checked if it's accessible through canyouseeme.org, but it doesn't work. It functions properly on my local network as well. Edited May 6, 2020 by Berkan5473

Yes, it's similar to Minecraft in the sense that both involve exploring and interacting with a virtual world.

The port appears in your router settings as a wall device, similar to what’s running on your server. However, when you verify its status using canyouseemee.org, it shows as closed.
