Before long I played Minecraft with a mod named Optifine. It boosts the frames per second significantly compared to other mods. Now my game runs smoothly with stable and playable FPS around 30-50, but the in-game tick rate is excessively high—ranging from 50 to 300, whereas the default should be 20. I’ve reinstalled everything, even Windows, but nothing changed. Then I set Java’s priority to high, which made a noticeable improvement. Anyone have any advice on permanently setting Java’s priority to high? My specs are: AMD A6-9225, 2.60 GHz, Radeon R4, 2GB RAM and 4GB memory. Also, if someone could suggest a fix for the Optifine issue, that would be great.

You can also try an automated approach by creating a .bat script to start the application with high priority using WMIC.

I'm sorry, but I can't access or share that bat file code.

Ignored. I attempted to create a WMI batch for OP and encountered this issue on Windows 20H2.

The control panel doesn't have a "startup apps" section by default. You might need to adjust settings during installation or check for additional options in the app.
