I performed a fresh setup of Windows but the issue persists. After several restarts, the Superfetch service keeps shutting down. I turned it back on via Services (Automatic), yet it remains disabled. What’s going on?!

It seems SSD might be the cause. With a fast SSD, Windows won’t rely on it. Reinstalling Windiws isn’t the best idea.

However, it enhances performance and startup speed, which is why some people turn it off. It works well with HDD users.

After completing its task, it should shut down automatically. Most users who have experienced this method have found it causes the system to become unresponsive, often locking the computer at some point.

Verify the registry settings. Yes, enabling superfetch can improve performance on HDDs. Most people use SSDs now.
