The title clearly states the issue: task manager reports high CPU usage and disk activity, which shouldn't occur on a 5700X with Windows 11. The problem has persisted for months despite turning off real-time protection. Someone should know a solution to resolve this.

It seems like the scan is picking up some issues. A standard Windows repair might help. Open Command Prompt as admin, then run: sfc /scannow dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, and restart the system.

I performed the action and discovered some files that were fixed, though the Antimalware Service Executable continues to consume a lot of CPU. I’ll need to review it further to determine if that’s improved.
