I'm trying to configure the Canon mg2922 for scanning and printing via WiFi laptops (including Windows 11). I understand it supports Wi-Fi, but my access point remains hidden even when manually connecting through USB. Network diagram: Modem → Printer (USB) ---------|----------------|------- Promox| OPNsense--->Win11 print | ---------|------------------------ Other<---Network switch-->WiFi | Laptops for scanning/printing Edit: The print server might run on another OS, but only if Win11 doesn't accept it. I'd need to split the print tasks from the VPN meshnet VMs. I've tested this in a VM without a VPN.

I configured a virtual machine using your preferred operating system, connected the USB printer, and established a network share within the printer's VM environment.

I attempted to use Windows built-in sharing tools or switched to Linux Mint, but I was only able to print documents, not scan them.

You might find a WiFi 6 access point suitable for a printer to connect with.
