I understand it operates on a single core, and I recall another discussion from two years back suggesting the i9 9900K was a good choice. While the Ryzen 5 7600X boasts a faster clock speed, Intel is often preferred for single-core performance. Are there more affordable options you're considering?

Budget and country considerations? Beyond hosting a Minecraft server, what other scenarios apply? Regarding the Minecraft server, which version is recommended? How many participants are expected? Are any additional mods installed? If yes, please list them and their quantities. Your preference for the server is leaning toward the 7600 for its efficiency, though a refurbished 5600 (80-100$) paired with a used b3/450 (50-70$) could work well on a tighter budget.

We're sticking to a sensible budget, focusing on Minecraft 1.20 or lower. Likely around 10 players, no mods planned, and we're targeting Linux. The setup should work with what I already have—power supply and storage included.
