You're considering two options for your Plex server setup: a 42U vertical rack and a 22U enclosed wall mount. The key differences lie in space efficiency, cable management, and flexibility. A 42U rack offers more vertical space and better cable organization, while a 22U wall mount is compact and ideal for smaller setups. Think about your room size, cable needs, and how much flexibility you require.
Comic Sans was nearly gone a decade ago. Choose Arial instead. If you have room for a 42u rack, use it to increase space. You can later add more components and improve airflow. Floor racks don’t have to be attached to the basement wall, which is another advantage.
