It seems the signal strength is a bit weak, and your internet speed is lower than expected. This might explain the slower performance. I was surprised by the results too—previously I got around 60Mb/s, now it's up to 90Mb/s.
Potato internet speed and you have a higher ping than I do. I get 13ms with 50down/10up. It might also be that the server is far away from you. Plus, Minecraft servers in just how they operate is shitty. Waiting for C++.... If mod makers weren't lazy and if Microsoft just gets the modding part right in the C++ version, the transition from java to c++ won't be that much of an issue.
