RAM is insufficient and the refresh rate remains at 75Hz on Ubuntu.
The refresh rate is irrelevant. You won’t see a monitor or GUI. This system works well with 2GB RAM. Consider using CentOS.
It's a real server, not just a temporary desktop. It will replace my WD MyCloud as my primary NAS. I'll also use it to back up my disks and serve as the main storage for my media station.
It could work fine from what I see. There might be some hardware issues that aren't apparent at first after a new installation.
