Server limits channels to a small group
Hello everyone, I'm working on limiting access to a private TS server. The room is password protected, but a few admins have been granted management rights. They can still bypass the password and enter. I attempted to set up a dedicated group for them, but it doesn't seem to work. I need guidance on restricting the channel to just myself and a couple of specific users, unless someone else is added as a guest. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Adjust channel join power settings (restrict access for admins and moderators). For option B, activate advanced permissions by navigating to Settings>Options>Applications>Misc>(check box)Advanced Permissions System, then click apply. In Permissions>Channel Permissions, select the desired channel, then in the left tab go to Channel>Access, and find "Needed Channel Join Power." Change its value above the admin default (75) to 80. Option A lets everyone join password-protected channels—use Permissions>Client Permissions, drag the client name onto the text box labeled "Drag & Drop client here or enter Unique ID," or right-click in Teamspeak and choose permissions. Afterward, in Channel Permission>Access, check "Ignore Channel Passwords" and mark it as completed. Option B permits access to just one password-protected channel; follow similar steps for that channel.
On my TS server I investigated the same topic and discovered the details. It's tough reading the docs but really useful. I recommend you do the same here. Start a channel and make yourself its admin. After creation, assign the join rights to the top level (100). Keep the subscription power at zero unless needed. Once set, add the people you want to your TS Server—right-click them, choose "Permissions > Channel Client Permissions," pick "RIP" for joining "The Hole," and confirm the channel access. I edited it later realizing this might be outdated, but I'll still share the images to assist others. EDIT2: Included the images.
This was a previous update, but I appreciate your continued support since I can still benefit from the details.
