Server issues on Windows 2022 Network problems detected WiFi connectivity failed
I'm just starting out with Windows Server and have limited experience. I attempted to set it up to run continuously and host a CS 1.6 server via SteamCMD. To activate the Wireless Networking feature, I followed these steps: First, I installed the WiFi feature using PowerShell CMD. Then I restarted the server and waited for it to boot. Finally, I tried starting the WiFi service with net start WlanSvc. Unfortunately, I still don't have a working WiFi connection—my OS isn't detecting any adapters, even though I tested many internal and external network cards.
I also attempted to connect using my external TP-Link TL-WN725N adapter, but it didn't work with WiFi.
The 82579LM is a physical Ethernet card. Does your motherboard support built-in Wi-Fi? For the TP-Link adapter, have you installed the W10 drivers? They sometimes function on Windows Server, though not consistently. If they don’t, look for a wireless card with verified driver compatibility in Windows Server. I don’t recall any common options since servers rarely use Wi-Fi and few people bother with driver support for it.
You're welcome. The internal adapter isn't compatible. I've installed the driver for the external adapter, and WiFi is functioning properly. Appreciate it!
