Server issue detected Connection failed to DNS server
Hello everyone. I'm facing a problem with my Wi-Fi on the laptop. It appears to connect to the network but shows no internet access. After checking, the system says everything is set up correctly, yet the device or resource isn't responding. I've tried various troubleshooting steps: running CMD commands, changing IP addresses, disabling the wake-on-LAN feature, updating and reinstalling drivers, resetting the router, updating Windows, and removing/reinstalling network adapters. Nothing resolved the issue. My phone is still connected to the same network without any problems. Could you help me? Thanks!
Based on your title, it seems the DNS server isn't set up or the IP isn't correct. Check the Network & Internet settings to see which DNS entries appear.
When attempting to use those tools, I encounter a timeout error. nslookup google.com 85.130.60.11 ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached. It's likely these are DNS servers offered by your ISP and only functional within their network. This suggests I can't consistently access them. Given your own issues, it's possible this is the root cause. If I switch to Google's DNS server, the response I receive is: nslookup google.com 8.8.8.8 Server: 8.8.8.8 Address: 8.8.8.8#53 Non-authoritative answer: Name: google.com Address: 142.250.186.174 This indicates a successful resolution to the domain. It connects to the DNS server at 8.8.8.8 and returns an IP address for "google.com". This process allows your browser to locate the site by translating the name into an IP. Since you're relying on a DHCP server (probably your router), it would be best to adjust its settings to use alternative DNS addresses. You can also change the DNS provider on your device through network settings, though updating the DHCP configuration ensures all connected devices share the same settings.
Thank you for your assistance. It suddenly began functioning without any effort from my side. I reached out to my internet service provider who mentioned over 20 calls regarding the problem, suggesting it might be on their end. Appreciate your time and support. Stay safe.
It seems there was a disruption with their DNS servers. Remember to save this link for future reference.
