Hi, I just set up a Minecraft server on an old PC. After about an hour, I encountered the error saying the server is overloaded with too many players and ticks. The CPU usage stays under control, but RAM usage is high—around 7 gigabytes, with a bit over 1.5 GB in the page file. The server has few plugins, runs a pre-made 6000x6009 world, and its specs match an Intel i5 6500U with 8 GB RAM and a dual-channel setup. It’s an old HP compact PC.

Paging may significantly hurt performance. The system could be memory constrained, forcing the CPU to pause while data moves between storage and RAM. This often results in minimal CPU activity, not because the processor is idle, but due to delays in data retrieval. How much RAM does Minecraft occupy?

Around 5 to 6 gigs handled, though I believed 8 would suffice based on the Mincrafgs site mentioning a minimum of 4 gigs. Additionally, I'm running an older SATA SSD.
