Hey, last year I set up a server for web development and database tasks. It runs on Debian 11, with a Ryzen 7 1700X CPU (used since 2017), a GIGABYTE B450M DS3H SSD, and a Corsair 550W 80+ Gold power supply. I also have an 8GB DDR4 RAM module and a 5950X GPU for Minecraft. Recently, I moved my Minecraft server to a new water-cooled setup, but the web server was under heavy load and started crashing. The CPU was running around 300MHz when it failed, which seems low. I ran several memory tests and restarted the Minecraft service without any issues. Since the hardware is old, could the problem be related to stability or load handling? Someone might help identify the exact cause.

Are there any CPU adjustments being made? Such as reducing voltage or clock speed. Is power-saving mode active in the BIOS?

Adjusted all fans to maximum speed and set auto-start on power.

Use prime95 smallffts and large ffts to check stability. For large ffts, fix CPU speed (e.g., 3000MHz) and voltage (1.2V) to prevent issues. Ensure RAM remains stable during tests. If stable, retry with default settings. Large ffts need consistent performance—verify cooling and temperature stays below 90°C. Run tests for at least 4 hours.

I’ll consider your suggestions once I have a moment. My goal remains fixing the faulty component, as I believe a quick fix won’t address future issues. Should the problem stem from the motherboard, the CPU, or both, let me know so I can advise accordingly.
