I've been facing problems with certain Microsoft services in Windows 10 recently. I can't search for updates or download apps from the app store. When I reached out to Microsoft tech support with the error code 0x80072f8f, no one else seems to have reported this issue lately. It looks like Microsoft is aware but hasn't taken any action.

Use the time sync tool to ensure your date and time are precise. If that fails, run the Windows Update Troubleshooter. For further assistance, visit the Microsoft support page at the provided link.

I've exhausted all options, but it's still not working.

You should verify for any Spy/Malware/Virus threats. Turning off updates is a common tactic used by malware. It’s safer to perform a full anti-malware scan just in case your protection software has been affected. Tools like ComboFix, TDSSKiller, and MalwareBytes Anti-Rootkit are reliable options. Install them on a trusted machine and transfer them using a USB drive.
