Hello, your concern is clear. The height of the G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo with code F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N can be a point of confusion. While official specs list 44mm for all Z5 Neo rams, some users have reported mounting them with an AK620 that sits slightly above the heatsink by about 1mm. This discrepancy suggests the actual height might be around 43mm rather than 44mm. The photos you mentioned seem to support this observation. Could the official numbers be outdated or specific to certain configurations? It would help to double-check with the manufacturer’s latest details or reach out to the community for clarification.

I didn't see the tag work. @GuiltySpark_ I tried a similar one before, it didn't trigger. In reality, you probably don't need to worry much—if anything, you could just increase the fan by 1-2mm on the Phantom Spirit for troubleshooting. Alternatively, you might find the Flare X5/Ripjaws version of that setup, which is only 33mm tall and offers the same memory configuration.

This setup was unusual when I first looked at the images. The fan wasn't raised, which is evident from the photos—this would have been a problem. I'm not actually using that cooler, but the AK620 specs are included. Still, as @RONOTHAN## mentioned, there are some lower-profile alternatives that look almost the same.

The max RAM height that fits the AK620 is 47mm, but they mention 43mm—maybe due to different standards or measurements. It would be helpful to see a diagram for the Phantom Spirit as well. Unfortunately, I’ve already purchased those RAM modules.

The image shows the component clearly, confirming the maximum size is 60mm.

It seems the concept of a low-profile RAM has evolved significantly over time. Today’s slim rams are essentially at standard height, whereas genuine low-profile designs are notably shorter—about 18mm compared to the 30mm typical of regular models.

This design offers better precision, probably.

what remains unclear is how they calculate the optimal ram height for each heatsink. The Deepcool Ak620 reaches 43cm, yet the chart suggests up to 47cm is possible. The Phantom Spirit can be as tall as 60cm. Could anyone clarify this? Also, I wanted to mention that I chose the Phantom Spirit based on the Hardware Canucks video, which claims better cooling performance for Ryzen 7600x, 7700x, and 7950x models. Do you think there are superior options for cooling a 7800X3D? Thank you.

I don't think that CPU 40mm section is going to interfere with the ram. Ram will most likely fall under the 60mm part, which would give plenty of clearance room. Raise fan if you have to, if ram and cpu cooler are interfering.
