Hello everyone, I am trying to use a motherboard I bought on eBay to put together a new PC. I can boot and it posts, but it requires me to hit f1 to run setup. However, when I hit f1, the screen goes black and a typing cursor appears. My first guess was that I installed the wrong generation of cpu for my BIOS version, so I swapped out the i7 3770 I was trying to use for an i5 2500k. The BIOS version listed in POST says it should support both the i7 and the i5. However, the problem persists. Below I will list the system specs and pictures of the events. MOBO: Asus p8h61-m lx2 on BIOS version 0601 CPU: i7 3770, i5 2500k GPU: MSI GeForce gt 710 Hdd: WD enterprise 1 tb Ram: 1xsamsung 4 gb ddr3 1333 Psu: thermaltake toughpower xt 775w, gamemax rgb 600 If I missed anything, please let me know. This is my first post.
I included both the Gamemax and Thermaltake PSU in my system specs. This specific alert probably appears because I need to power off the machine using the power button or PSU switch.

Are you linked to a GPU or Igpu? Attempt to disconnect any disks temporarily. Proceed straight into BIOS. First, turn off the power and swap the CLR CMOS jumper, leaving it on for 10 seconds before swapping back and restarting.
