Hello! Yes, it’s feasible to forward magnet links and/or torrent files from your main PC to the server. Since you’re using µTorrent on the Windows 7 PC, you can configure it to handle magnet links directly without needing to load files manually. The server, running Windows 7, will act as a destination for those links. Just ensure the server has sufficient storage and proper network access.

The simplest method is to utilize the web GUI in µTorrent. Open uTorrent, go to Options, Preferences, Advanced, and enable the Web UI. Enter your username and password. It’s also a good idea to turn on "alternative listening port" and pick a memorable number (over 1000). For instance, 8080. Then access it via: <ip address>:<port number>/gui/ in your browser. For example, 192.168.1.3:8080/gui/

You'll need to create an account and set up µTorrent on both devices. There isn't a built-in feature for magnet links to automatically forward to another computer without additional software. You might explore extensions for Waterfox to help manage this process.

Only uTorrent needs to be installed on the server. To reach the web interface, open a browser on another device and enter the address: <ip here>:<port here>/gui/ (for instance 192.168.1.3:8080/gui/). This lets you manage torrents from that computer. For example, typing that URL on your laptop will show all active torrents on your desktop, and let you add or remove them, including magnetic links. You don’t have to create accounts on the site. On the server, simply provide an account name and password for the web interface. When you input the remote IP, it will ask for a username and password. This setup avoids the need for a public "µTorrent" account and keeps access secure.

The µTorrent WebUI appears to be missing. Try installing it now or refer to the installation guide for further instructions. A failure occurred during the installation process; check the µTorrent logs for additional information.

Sorry, the issue isn't due to your browser. The version 2.2.1 didn’t include WebGUI by default, and uTorrent has altered the installation source. I’ve looked for workarounds, but none have been successful. Apologies if this caused trouble.

It seems the problem might be related to your version of Waterfox or the way you're accessing it. The updates you made to uTorrent and the changes in browser settings helped, but the persistent "invalid request" suggests a deeper issue. It could be tied to your OS version, browser architecture, or specific configurations. Try using a different browser or checking if the service is updated for your system.

Have you experimented with avoiding the https protocol in Waterfox? Simply use http://IP-HERE:PORT-HERE. For example, http://127.0.0.1:8080 would help. If it functions in IE but not in Waterfox, there may be an issue with the browser. If you encounter warnings about an unrecognized certificate, it suggests trying to connect via HTTP instead, as HTTPS isn't supported in this context (it's the secure version of HTTP). Just enter http:// in place of https for a chance to work.
