Hey everyone, I assembled my first PC in January and it works fine for basic tasks, but gaming has been a real challenge. On some simpler titles like TF2 I manage over 1000 FPS, though I limit the frames to improve stability. Performance tests are consistently strong, yet games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 only reach about 14 FPS at low quality settings, and Overwatch 2 often crashes with a black screen that forces a restart. Additionally, I frequently encounter an EA Bad Image error when starting up. I keep updating my drivers, but I’m looking for any advice or resources to resolve these issues. The specs are linked below, thanks for your time.

What are your experiences with higher difficulty levels? If you're facing similar stability problems with the 13th generation, the thread is short—please check the links for more details. Question - Games crashing to desktop without BSOD Hello. My games have been repeatedly crashing over the past month. I've tried to resolve it, but it persists. The affected titles are: Counter Strike 2, Dead by Daylight, NBA 2K24, Rust. They crash immediately upon opening or shortly after. forums. Another point to consider is: https://www.wikihow.com/Turn-Off-Hardware-Acceleration For EA, refer to the second comment here. https://www.reddit.com/r/electronicarts/s/flocEOZZ2I

Turn off all programs that aren't necessary for playing your games. For instance, Discord, Chrome, NVIDIA Experience. You could also use Malwarebytes to scan for any malware.

I'm curious if you've managed to fix the RAM and boot problems. Is this something we should keep in mind while dealing with the low FPS during games?

Which specific titles are experiencing this low FPS problem? Just RDR2?

Any big game, period. Overwatch 2, RDR 2, Elden Ring... you name it.

Ultimately it turned out I was too afraid to push in my RAM completely.

I wouldn't say I'm scared.
Being cautious suits the situation better.
New constructions tend to be tricky, and what seems solid at first isn't always fully secure.
Your careful approach was the safer way.
Pushing things too hard usually doesn't work out.
You figured it out and resolved the issue without causing damage.
That's a positive outcome.
