Intel XMP functions perfectly, G.Skill Tridant with 32GB is great... That’s the setup I have, it performs exceptionally.
As long as the XMP profile meets acceptable standards (such as 3600MT/s for Ryzen 3000/5000), it’s fine. The main consideration is understanding that certain motherboards label it as DOCP instead of XMP, since XMP is an Intel trademark and they aim to skip licensing costs. Not every board supports this (ASRock boards typically use XMP, while ASUS may use DOCP).
G. Skill Trident sticks perform well with Ryzen. A current setup using an MSI B450 board with a Ryzen 5 2600 is functioning smoothly. Avoid Corsair products for Ryzen builds—though some users report no issues, the frequency of problems exceeds normal expectations. These concerns are well documented across multiple threads. Always verify your choice matches the board’s QVL list to ensure compatibility.
It's possible they'll be fine and you have the option to choose how to proceed. The components inside this machine include G. Skill Trident "B-Die" sticks (G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB, 4 x 8GB) and a B-die, which is ideal for a DDR4 setup. By the way, the four-stick bundle I mentioned matches my own in quality, speed, and specifications, though I originally bought just a two-stick kit when I received it. I don't know if Corsair offers a B-die model, but I'm certain they don't match my preference for pairing with a Ryzen system.
