I'm looking for a gigabit switch with a few ports for my room. I want something similar but affordable, ideally under 20 euros. Thanks in advance!

Speeds refer to the data transfer rates. How many connections are needed depends on your setup and requirements. Let me know if you'd like more details!

They chose a solid option with metal construction like the ones you mentioned. Using plastic surfaces causes the internal components to overheat faster and reduces their lifespan. The outdated white plastic enclosures often broke down quickly—my company purchased over 30 of those for conference spaces, but they frequently required power cycling or simply failed.

You're seeing suggestions from others about a metal exterior, but I'm not sure if that's the right choice for you.

What is your financial limit? Whether it's plastic or metal, as long as it functions, it doesn't matter.

The metal casing doesn't guarantee better cooling, unless the heat exchangers are truly touching the casing. Passive cooling effectiveness is minimal.
