You should consider the Ryzen 7 5800X for gaming, as it offers better performance compared to the i5-13400F. The Ryzen 5 5600 and 5600x are decent alternatives for general use. For your graphics needs, the RX 6600 pairs well with an RX 6600 GPU, and starting with a 16GB RAM stick is a solid choice, especially since you plan to expand to 32GB later.

Is this only about gaming? If yes, then I’d consider getting the Ryzen 5 7600 and an DDR5 system. For the US market, the 5600X is preferable over the 5600 because the latter is pricier now. Since it’s mainly for gaming, you won’t need the extra cores on the 5800X or the additional E cores on the 13400F, as those are more useful for productivity. What’s your total budget, by the way?

Your budget typically ranges from $600 to $650. A DDR4 setup fits well within that range. Regarding performance, a Ryzen 5 7600X paired with a Ryzen 7 5600X is quite powerful and could handle your needs. If you're considering the Ryzen 5 5600X or 5700X, they should still be sufficient for most tasks.

your budget covers only the CPU, motherboard, RAM, and GPU? The Ryzen 7000 series works best with DDR5, while the Ryzen 5600x is fine with DDR4. The Ryzen 5600x is sufficient for this build.
