Hey everyone, here’s a quick summary:
CPU is Ryzen 3600 with stock cooler.
Motherboard is B450 tomahawk (BIOS 3.3).
SSD is 1TB Samsung 860 EVO 256GB.
GPU is MSI 2070.
Power supply is CM MWE gold 750.

For RAM, both sets are 16GB, but I only tested one stick from each. Both claim 3200MHz CL16 at stock speed.

From Ryzen Dram Calc results, I need to pick the best match. The ballistix RAM I bought didn’t work well—stuttering and issues. I switched to Corsair, but they caused blue screens when overclocked.

I’m considering keeping the better stick from my first trial. If you help me set it up with Ryzen Dram Calc, it’d be great. Thanks for your support!

I'm still learning about this stuff... but during my 3900x build, I spent a lot of time watching Buildzoid. I can remember some of his moves. The E-die works better with faster speeds, so you might want the Crucial chip. Make sure to update your BIOS—especially checking if 3.3 is the latest version. It's usually safer to adjust one thing at a time and verify everything works. What is your current FCLK? Are you trying to change the MCLK/UCLK? Which DRAM voltage are you using?

I'm still learning about this stuff... but during my 3900x build, I spent a lot of time watching Buildzoid. I can remember some of his moves. The E-die works better with faster speeds, so you might want the Crucial chip. Make sure to update your BIOS—especially checking if 3.3 is the latest version. It's usually safer to adjust one thing at a time and verify everything works. What is your current FCLK? Are you trying to change the MCLK/UCLK? Which DRAM voltage are you using?

Hi there, version 3.3 is the newest BIOS. The FCLK is running auto now. I was using it at 1600MHz, which means half of my RAM's frequency (I switched back to auto after issues). There were no signs of problems with the MCLK or UCLK, and the Drm calculator didn't show any of those codes. It suggested setting the voltage to 1.39. If you're unsure, start with 3200 MHz for memory and 1600 MHz for FCLK, adjusting gradually. Set your DRAM voltage at 1.4 to begin tweaking timings safely. Test stability after each change, and consider stress tests like P95 or IBT.

Reason: speed guess based on clock data [XMP reduces lower clocks] 2400/20T = 120 (better is lower) 2133/16T = 133 xmp will adjust memory to 1600 (3200) and FCLK to 1600 (1:1 ratio) [memory runs twice per clock] I’d also experiment with overclocking the IF and memory after 1600. Steps: Keep defaults, set FCLK to 1633 & RAM to 3266, try repeating jumps in 33 steps. Once limits hit (like 1700 x 3400) [1900x3800 is a common accepted cap] run benchmarks/stress tests. If unstable, lower by 33. Keep testing with memtest86 & p95 for 12 hours. Done. Stable and fast if it works. ---- Just trying to clarify what I learned recently. Good luck!
