Mobo: System running Z87-G45 with i5 4670K, R9 290 GPU, 8GB RAM. My computer feels outdated, but I prefer not to spend too much on a minor upgrade. I need more memory since games keep crashing because of low RAM. Should I: 1) Purchase two 4GB kits (link provided) for 16GB total, or 2) Buy two 8GB units and replace the old ones (link), or 3) Combine two 8GB units to reach 24GB? Let me know your choice.
Opting for 16GB is acceptable. A 24GB option isn't harmful and likely won't add significant benefit over 16GB.
