Right now I'm weighing my options between an Asrock 550m steel legend and an Asus Tuf 550m plus II. What matters most is getting a back IO with USB-C, since my case doesn’t support it. I’m focusing on these two because the Aorus Pro from Gigabyte isn’t available at the moment. I’ve never used an Asrock product before, so I’m unsure about their reliability. If anyone has advice ahead of time, I’d really appreciate it. The build I’m assembling includes a Ryzen 5600G, G-Skill Trident Z RGB 2x8, 16GB 3600MHz CL18, Gigabyte Eagle OC 3060, 12GB RAM, and later upgrades. I’ll need a motherboard and I’m not very familiar with MSI, so any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

I also want a USB-C because I need it for my Quest 2 VR experience. I understand there are USB-A to C options, but I prefer the one provided by the box since I believe it offers better performance.

I've been using the B550 mortar. Great board. Buildzoid mentioned it ranks among the best for VRM and similar projects. It's worked well for me over the past few years.

Both options are great. I’ll pick the most affordable one. The B550 Mortar is solid too, but avoid the older model—it’s not as well-made.

I'll look into this topic and check what I find. Tomorrow I plan to visit the store and ask for more details.
