I was looking to upgrade my motherboard because my current one is a micro ATX with several issues. My CPU is an i5 10400, I have 16GB of 3000MHz RAM, a 500GB SSD M.2, and a 500W PSU. I searched online and found three options: the first one from Amazon, the second from PBM Power, and the third from another Amazon listing. I’m not sure which one is best and would appreciate some advice. Thanks!
It mainly comes down to your priorities. The gigabyte board offers at least two extra USB ports compared to the others, while the MSI board likely has the superior VRM among the three—though that probably doesn’t matter much because overclocking isn’t an option. Focus on deciding which connectors or ports you need more of, and let that guide your choice, or consider brand preferences if they matter to you.
There's little/no reason to get a Z chipset when you have a CPU that can't overclock, unless you realistically think you're going to switch to a K CPU any time soon. "UD" is the branding Gigabyte tends to use for some of their absolute cheapest and shittiest boards, same with "A-Pro" for MSI. Basically you have two low-end Z-series boards where the main point of a Z-series board is pointless for you anyway, and one middle-of-the-road B460 board.
