Even though Garuda and Arch-based distros aren't the sole options, they aren't the only path to mastering Linux. To truly learn, try installing Debian, Fedora, and Arch. If you revisit the video, he suggested sticking to those in the Arch family.

manjaro is quite unstable, and I’d have to admit I’d be frustrated with every update. I’m currently using Arch on one PC and Arco on a few others.

Well I'm giving Pop!_OS a try (seems to be working some what fine but some stuff is broken like the bottom bar) and if Pop!_OS doesn't do it for me I will give Ubuntu a go or Kubuntu. Heck I might even Mint a go again after these many years

I had already warned about promoting Nix before, emphasizing the numerous reasons why it’s not a good idea. While some individuals may feel inclined to explore unconventional options, presenting a unique distribution like Nix isn’t something to take lightly.

I also use Gentoo, but for someone accustomed to binary packages needing up to an hour to install a browser, this wouldn't be the best suggestion
