I was planning to purchase a trident Z 3600 at 3600MHz with a Cl16 16GB, but then I found a deal on Corsair Dominator 2666MHz with a Cl15 32GB RAM stick for less than the price difference. Now I’m considering the 2-3 nanosecond latency difference. I’ll be using a Ryzen 3700X and 32GB RAM, which is always a good setup.

Varies by application needs. Most users handle under 12GB RAM, yet notice a performance gap between 2666 and 3600.
