I usually suggest AMD, but Gamer's Nexus shared a recent video pointing out that Flight Sim 2020 demands a lot from a single core. Because of this, I’d recommend an Intel CPU for its fast clock speed.

Thanks for the update, I've reviewed it and Gamer's Nexus aligns with the Russian Benchmark. GPU performance appears limited by single-core capabilities. Then Intel will...

These high-frequency Intel chips tend to get hot, so a solid cooling system is essential. If your build has a nice look but poor airflow, you might face issues. On the Lian Li TU150 I don’t notice much ventilation, but I’m not an expert. If you prefer Lian Li, the Lancool II Mesh offers great airflow.

Try to have 8 cores. There is currently a glitch with just 4 cores (though that will be patched). I would recommend a 10700K, 3700X/Zen3 successor or higher. My 3700X has been handling it perfectly well. DX12 is also coming so multi threaded support will get better. Right now, this sim only uses 4 cores heavily and additional cores much less.
