The idea is quite logical to invest a bit more now to prepare for the upcoming changes.

Currently, yes. The 60 series is meant for those with a budget in mind, right? The 1060, 1660, 3060, and 4060 were planned, but now the 4070, 4080, and 4090 are in place. With the 4070, 4080, and 4090, you're addressing mid and upper tiers too. Price doesn't always determine if it's budget-friendly.
