CPU model: amd ryzen 7 7700. I'm unsure which motherboard fits best, especially since my budget is around $1. I've looked at a few options: MSI PRO B650M-A, GIGABYTE B650M DS3H, MSI PRO B650-S WIFI, and MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI. Could you confirm compatibility with this processor?

I'm unsure about the exact motherboard you're considering. Which one fits your needs best? I can help compare options based on your budget and requirements.

This model seems suitable for your needs. I’d recommend the B650 Gaming Plus with Wi-Fi, as it appears more appealing and offers 2.5GB storage plus Wi-Fi 6E. It’s priced near $169.

1 offers solid options, 2 falls short, 3 and 4 perform well, there are multiple options for the US market. If MSI still has discounts with free shipping, it's a great deal. This model: MSI PRO B650-S WIFI ATX AM5 ($139.99 @ MSI) supports speeds up to 7900x. You can pick features that suit your needs. Other picks include MSI PRO B650-P, MSI B650 GAMING PLUS, Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX, and ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2. Any of these will work well for an AM5 build.

Everyone will perform similarly in terms of results. You decide what features, input/output, and appearance matter most.

Do you believe the first mobile model would suffice for maintenance? I might switch to the Intel Arc A750 Photon 8G soon. If not, I’ll opt for the MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI.

Top choice among these is the B650 Gaming Plus with Wi-Fi. For a mid-tower setup, opt for the B650M-A Wi-Fi and if budget matters, choose the B650-S Wi-Fi. All three models are quite alike, just differ in features and size to fit various cases. Edited May 20, 2024 by filpo

I recommend going with option 1 or 4. Let me know if you'd like to choose one!

All mentioned motherboards support much stronger CPUs than yours. You can pick any that suit you. I’d go with the first one I suggested—it’s the cheapest at 140$ and includes free shipping. The decision is yours; any choice will work well if you’re mainly concerned about CPU performance.
