last night my mom shut down my computer and when i tried to restart, i mentioned fixing the disk. then i entered a blue screen with three choices: continue, troubleshoot, or turn off the computer. when i selected continue, it first asked to prepare for automatic repair before returning to the blue screen. what should i do? i have windows 8, thanks for your help!

You prefer not to have your system handle repairs on its own. Avoid letting your mum shut it down unless she’s certain you meant something else. Be polite and let her decide when to turn it off.

Yes, but the automatic repair is being canceled, so I'm back to the blue menu again.

You need to switch to safe mode and attempt the task again.
