Check the latest NVIDIA drivers regularly since Manjaro may use outdated versions. Experiment with switching your KDE session from Wayland to X11 to determine if the problem persists. In KDE preferences, navigate to Display and Compositor, then adjust the compositor status or rendering backend to OpenGL 2.0/3.1. Disable any color management or HDR features if available, as they might affect display quality. Videos and images should appear clear under normal settings, so begin troubleshooting with driver and compositor configurations.

It seems the image you shared doesn't appear to have any issues. If it looks correct for others but not for you, the problem might lie with your display settings. Check the display configuration and adjust parameters like refresh rate, color range, and profiles. A mismatched refresh rate could cause display problems. If you can provide a screenshot of your actual screen, it would help identify the issue more clearly.

For testing purposes, consider changing your session to X11 because NVIDIA drivers tend to perform more consistently there. If the problem resolves on X11, it’s probably related to Wayland or NVIDIA-specific settings.

AFAIK Plasma 6 has compatibility issues with X11, previously encountered these problems due to the same Nvidia reasons, leading to significant system instability.

It might stem from the NVIDIA driver stack rather than X11 directly. Have you tested various driver versions, such as 550 versus 560? Occasionally one performs better with KDE.

I took a gamma of .50 for easier viewing, but Wayland still lacks Gamma control which is disappointing. How old is Wayland five years? Smartphones improve photo quality, right? It seems all the choices on my screen are incorrect.
