Gelid produces decent pastes too, but they aren't as widely promoted as other brands. It's been a while since I encountered that product on a thermal paste comparison, mainly because it hasn't been as popular when people were swapping out their stock GPU coolers for alternatives from Gelid. I'm not very confident about the OCX version specifically.
The issue involves liquid metal composed of indium and gallium. Gallium tends to oxidize readily, and its oxide can be hazardous. Even after three years, residual damage may still exist. It's likely that oxygen wasn't completely excluded during the process. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallium
It might finally make sense to move up from this setup. New CPU performance hasn't improved much. Honestly, most of the long-term LM videos I've seen reveal some wear on the IHS, but the chip still looks good. At best, over time a replacement IHS could be necessary if transfer quality drops. Otherwise, it's mostly a one-time fix for me. Probably won't need to upgrade again anytime soon. With all these soldered CPUs now, and future versions likely less focused on overclocking, this seems like a limited opportunity.
