For what you're aiming for, you'll have to invest more. Your PSU lacks enough power or quality for a GPU upgrade, and your CPU isn't sufficient either. Modern games also require an SSD, adding another expense. Basically, you'll need a completely new setup.
Here are some alternative parts I’ve considered so far:
• PSU: Corsair CX50 650W
• CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 or i7-8700K
• RAM: G.Skill 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz CL16 Aegis
• Storage: Kingston SSD 400GB
I’m thinking about upgrading the GPU too. What’s a reasonable choice that doesn’t cost too much but still provides a big improvement over the GTX 1060 3GB?
Also, with Black Friday near, I’m questioning whether buying these components individually is worth it or if purchasing a full PC would be more beneficial.
P.S. I could sell this setup and buy something new, but I’m worried I’d get very little value—would it be better to invest in a complete system instead?
