Hello, how are you? I’m trying to get the original CDs for Gears of War, Halo 1 and 2 on PC. Are there any other great old games available now that aren’t on Steam, Uplay or Origin? Cheers!

Some titles are available on Steam, such as Total Annihilation—a game that’s been around for nearly two decades. If you enjoy older classics, check out Good Old Games. You might not discover games like Halo or Gears of War, but you’ll find gems like Theme Hospital and Dungeon Keeper.

they possess the timeless titles I enjoy; Fallout, Command & Conquer: Red Alert, Quake, Hexen. EA releases such as BF1942 and BF Vietnam will remain unavailable on Steam.

The second Bad Company is available on Origin and Steam. The first Bad Company hasn't been released for PC yet. Many classic titles are hosted on GoG rather than Steam since Valve doesn’t actively support running games there, and older games often require modifications to function properly. However, GoG seems to handle the necessary setup using tools like DOSBox. Only games that developers are willing to invest time in adapting for modern systems or who believe users can fix them themselves typically appear on Steam.

Command & Conquer Generals or any C&C Battlefield 1942 → battlefield 2142 version is available. It's currently on the origin site but not yet in stores.
