Seeking improvements, want assistance with the MOBO?
Hey everyone! I'm planning a Ryzen upgrade and have an i7 5820K with 16GB of 2666MHz RAM and a GTX 1080. I'm thinking about swapping it for a Ryzen 3700X, 16GB of 3200MHz RAM, plus a new motherboard. Finding solid, trustworthy reviews is tough—some say one model works well with good overclocking, while others call it garbage. I need a board that lets me overclock the 3700X smoothly, with solid VRM and cooling. A decent UEFI BIOS is also important for easy setup. My budget is under $250. Any advice or recommendations would be super helpful!
I’ve discovered the forum’s recommendations to be quite trustworthy. For boards, consider these options:

The BIOS tends to stay consistent across the same brand. From my experience switching from an Asus x299 to an Asus x570, the BIOS layout remained fairly similar. It could vary slightly when moving to newer models, but overall it should feel quite comparable.
The ASUS x570 TUF BIOS seems fine. I checked it while assisting my friend with his PC setup. A few changes are expected because you're using an AMD CPU. Features like XMP might appear as DOCP, and voltage settings could differ. Overall, everything should remain consistent or even improve.
