My dad's garage is safe from scary stuff. It runs on 15 Amps all the way through. He recently had the breaker box burned out, so I had to rewire part of it. Probably because he leaves the holiday lights on and uses his tools—table saw, drills, and a tiny air compressor. I’m holding my breath until that place catches fire again. Your house probably has a lot of wiring like mine, but most homes have updated systems. This house was built in 1930 and seems to have mixed wiring over the years.

For smaller needs, this USB-operated 100 megabit device works well.
