I've been weighing options between a 10700k and a 3900x. Not sure which would perform better for gaming, streaming, or running a server on the same setup. Any suggestions on upgrading? I'm open to ideas—especially if you think 1440p might affect things.

When it comes to streaming, if you're using a GPU with a Turing nvec (1650 super or better), you can leverage that hardware directly and let the GPU handle encoding tasks. Regarding the game server, which one are you considering? If it's similar to Minecraft, it typically involves minimal processing. On my end I own the most powerful setup and the best, most centralized internet connection available. We frequently host multiple servers for gaming sessions together. The server lineup includes Minecraft (both modded and vanilla), Mordhau, and Rust, with plans to expand to other titles later. For graphics, I’m using a GTX 1080 and have 32 gigabytes of 3400MHz RAM—this should definitely make a difference.

Certainly, 10700K is available, and the Ryzen 4000 is also an option.

Minecraft is just one main process, and the other games are unfamiliar to me. You might try the 3900x if you prefer, as it works well for x264 streaming. If you can, wait for Zen 3 and see what it provides first.
