It seems there aren't any genuine free-to-play MMORPGs without some form of monetization through in-game purchases, cosmetic items, or limitations on basic accounts.

Sure thing. You can purchase nearly anything using gold through the EMP trade. There are certain restricted items, but they don’t impact gameplay—just add a bit of ease to things.
