I haven’t shared anything in this subforum lately. I’m trying to obtain a Big Sur DMG for my Mac Mini because Catalina doesn’t support the latest Garageband version. I don’t have a compatible Mac, so I’m reaching out here for help. Could anyone send me a Big Sur DMG through Google Drive or something similar? Thanks! Mods: I previously asked on Moderators and didn’t get a response. Community guidelines didn’t address my request directly, unless I misinterpreted something.

For installing Big Sur on a non-supported Mac, use Patched-Sur. See the link: https://github.com/BenSova/Patched-Sur#h...atched-sur. You can get the app by downloading it and following the steps. Big Sur is also available from the Patcher. If you prefer an installer, MDS is an option you can download.

You can install the update on your Mac Mini using a patch tool. I handled this before with Catalina, though the process wrapped up on the day of the Big Sur release. Garageband got updated, but it wasn’t compatible with Catalina. Thanks a lot!

I don't have a specific Mac Mini model to mention. Could you clarify which one you're referring to?

I wouldn't head to Big Sur. Graphics acceleration won't work there, which is a really bad situation for macOS. It's better to look for an older version of Garage Band.
