Seek guidance on optimizing your unstable Intel Arc A750 GPU.
Over the past few months I've faced some stability issues with my Intel Arc A750 GPU. It tends to bottleneck, especially in certain games. Random FPS drops from 100+ to 10-20 are common during gameplay. I've tried all possible fixes—restarting the PC, reinstalling drivers, updating older versions, resetting BIOS settings, checking cables and alignment, adjusting Intel Arc Control, even deleting it entirely. Others have reported similar problems on different machines, so I'm wondering if the hardware itself might be the cause. Could there be a problem with the GPU, power supply, motherboard, monitor, or something else? Any suggestions would be really helpful at this stage.
What operating system are you running? From your specifications list it looks like you haven't mentioned it. I’d suggest reinstalling the OS, and for best results, Windows 11 would be ideal. If you have an Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, Raptor Lake Refresh, or Meteor Lake processor and aren’t using Windows 11, expect many problems. Also, verify if there are any BIOS or firmware updates available for your components. You didn’t specify the type of storage device you’re using—this matters a lot, particularly if you have an SSD. Firmware updates are regularly released by manufacturers, covering both motherboard and BIOS. Intel Arc systems can be quite unstable, so these tips might help resolve your issues quickly. These are just preliminary suggestions before diving into further troubleshooting of the GPU or video card.
I'm using a Gen 3 SSD with Windows 11, and I didn't mention it earlier. I also reinstalled the OS. I'll check IHMO and make sure my BIOS is up to date. Thanks a lot for your advice!
It's true that Samsung faced a recent problem which was fixed with a firmware update. Stay aware of ongoing updates. Besides this, there are other persistent issues to watch for. I wish you the best in resolving it, and if needed, we'll help troubleshoot further. We're here to support you!
