So, I was thinking about spamming SuperHOT but you already played it. The last of Us is worth it if you find a copy on PS3 or 4. This War of Mine is also a solid pick, especially if you haven’t played Half-Life or Portal 2. Firewatch was fun but a bit pricey. If you’re okay with old graphics, Undertail is decent too. System Shock 1 and 2 are essential—really impressive titles.
I’m taking a chance here, but I think you’re having trouble discovering games that suit your preferences. As long as you can’t handle the side quests in RPGs, you’ll be missing out on many enjoyable titles and narratives. Try joining an RPG with a clear goal and leave some space for exploration, but don’t feel overwhelmed. Sure, there are solid linear experiences like Tomb Raider or Sniper Elite. The Witcher 3 and its expansion Blood and Wine are upcoming gems expected this summer and will match the depth of the main game. The Metal Gear series offers compelling storytelling about nuclear threats and government control, which really resonated with me—especially since I grew up with it. Deus Ex: Human Revolution delves into Transhumanism and corporate dominance, while Mass Effect delivers a strong narrative paired with solid gameplay. There are plenty more I can mention, but I’m not sure I can list them all right now. I get it when gaming feels dull without meaningful stories. Let me know if you’d like some recommendations!
It's a story-focused experience—think Alan Wake, Anomaly Warzone Earth, COD Advanced Warfare, Oxenfree, Tomb Raider (2013), and possibly the upcoming title.
